How to train a team when half of it wants nothing to do with AI

The hardest training sessions are not the technical ones. They are the ones where half the room sits with folded arms, thinking “another fashion, give it two years and it will be over”. After years of running these sessions we know how not to lose that half.

Three standing rules

  • Do not start with tools. Start with a problem the person will genuinely face at work tomorrow. Only then show how AI solves it.
  • Do not present it as magic. Show the cases where AI gets things wrong, and teach people how to spot them.
  • Let them leave with something that works. Every participant has to leave the room with a specific workflow they will start using the next day.
